Roamstead Smoky Mountains Campground, Cosby

Very beautiful! We had a creek behind our camper that the kids and dogs got to play in. It was very clean. The showers were nice and clean too. They had activity books for kids and if they finished them they got a prize. They also were very pet friendly and gave us free bandanna for the dogs. We would definitely go back!

We just finished our week in the Hemlock cabin. The accommodations were great. The cabin is rustic but in very good repair with a great full kitchen and updated bathrooms. It is private and spacious and very usable. The back screened in porch overlooking the stream was a wonderful way to begin and end the day. I appreciated that towels, bed linens and shower items were provided. Also, the staff couldn't have been any nicer. They did everything to make our week as special as possible. We're so glad we found this campground and will definitely book again if we're ever in the area. Thank you so much, Roamstead.

Highly recommend Roamstead Campground! Our group of three families was very impressed with how family-friendly the campground is with the playground, pool, and scheduled activities for kids in the covered pavilion. We were all comfortable staying in the Pine cabins, which were very clean and well-maintained. Location is convenient with Gatlinburg being just a short, easy drive. Staff is friendly and helpful. We loved hanging out as a group in the lodge with our coffee each morning. We will be visiting Roamstead again!

We recently hosted our Weekend in the Smokies event here, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. When bringing a community together, the venue sets the tone, and Roamstead made us feel completely at home. The staff wasn't just 'available'—they were genuinely invested in ensuring our group had an incredible time. They were accommodating to our specific needs, flexible with our schedule, and welcomed our members with open arms. We love Roamstead! We’ve been coming to this beautiful location since 1990. The recently remodeled Yurts and cabins are lovely. The Rocky streams throughout the grounds provide a peaceful and fun environment for all ages. The cleaning crew does an excellent job keeping the services well maintained. We are already making plans for next year! See you in 2027!
